Patch Column: Baked French Toast Casserole



This week on my Patch column, "Cooking with Chelsea", I'm featuring a delicious Baked French Toast Casserole.  It's an easy and convenient dish perfect for any family to surprise your mom with on Mother's Day morning.  Only a few quick steps the night before, bake your casserole the morning of for 30 minutes, and you have a breakfast your mother will greatly appreciate.  Far quicker than the traditional french toast, this dish is a perfect family breakfast to enjoy!

Not only is it quick and convenient, but after having tried a number of different french toast casseroles, this recipe has the best results yet.  Not too wet, perfectly flavored, resembling the consistency of traditional french toast, but much easier to make!

If I still haven't convinced you to try this, the amazingly sweet cinnamon filled fragrance that will fill your home once it starts baking in the oven is reason enough!  It's the best wake up call your mom can have!
